Paul Walker of ‘Fast and Furious’ Dies in Car Crash

Paul Walker, a star of “The Fast and the Furious” film franchise, has died after a car crash.
According to the Associated Press, a publicist said Walker passed away after a car crash in California. A publicist confirmed the actor’s death to the Journal. Walker was 40 years old.
The actor’s Twitter account posted a link to the following note: “It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. – #‎TeamPW”
Born Paul William Walker IV in Glendale, Calif., Walker starred in such films as “Varsity Blues,” “Into the Blue” and “Takers,” but it was “The Fast and the Furious” in 2001 that won him his greatest fame. The movie, which spawned several sequels, featured high-powered vehicles, car chases and street-racing scenes.
“Fast & Furious 6″ has taken in $238,679,850 at the box office so far, according to Box Office Mojo.
The news that Walker had died after a car crash spurred stunned tributes to him on Twitter from friends and fellow actors.
“Paul Walker is the reason I wanted to drive a car in the first place,” one tweet said.

Dangote, Alakija, Elumelu, others come together for flood relief campaign


Great news people! Some of Nigeria's richest people have together to help flood victims in the country. A committee which includes billionaires Alhaji Aliko Dangote as the chairman, Mrs Folorunsho Alakija as co-chairman, Tony Elumelu and other philanthropist has been formed and they have so far raised over N7billion for victims of the flood. Now they are asking other Nigerians to join them to rebuild the flood devastated areas. A lot of people affected are still homeless.
Based on this they are about to launch a Flood Relief Campaign with the 30 biggest Nigerian celebrities from each sector; Nollywood , Music, Arts, Radio, CEO's etc
The smashing campaign is being shot currently and will be launched soon and is expected to get Nigerians to text in to donate. Please join the cause. Let's help rebuild the affected areas.

I'm not going to assume and say she was drunk when she came on stage to perform at the Kukere concert in London last night, but she definitely behaved odd. She said something about not wanting to wave because her armpit wasn't shaved and kept mouthing off until she fell.

Serena Williams wins French Open

World number one Serena Williams today Saturday June 8th won her 16th Grand Slam title and her second French Open title. She beat defending champion Maria Sharapova 6-4 6-4 at Rolland Garos.

Serena won her first French Open in 2002 against sister Venus Williams. Congrats to Williams.
